前段时间路过观前街人民商场门前广场,发现了林则徐纪念碑。我原来不知道林则徐还在苏州当过官，也由此查了些资料，了解到许多知识。
林则徐曾两度在苏州为官：清道光二年，任江苏按察使，主管司法、刑狱；道光十二年，又升任江苏巡抚，主管民务。办公场所（衙门）均在苏州。
林则徐一生最著名的禁烟事件发生在虎门，但他最初的禁烟起源于苏州。

我也今天才知道。林则徐原来也在苏州为过官？想起来古时的人千里做官也挺有意思的，那时候交通不发表，拖家带口上任都要一两个月，不知道他们的心理活动是怎么样的。
另外还请教一下，这个blog系统中自带的 digg, del.icio.us 这几个网摘系统，对促进网站排名或提供流量有些什么帮助？我以前没注意过这个东西。
